What was conferred
Fusionex Founder and Group CEO Dato' Seri Ivan Teh received the Paul Harris Fellow, the Rotary Club's highest honour, at the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur DiRaja's anniversary installation gala dinner. The evening was held at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur, and the award was presented by the club's outgoing president, Datuk Nelson Kwok Teng Toong.
The Sultan of Selangor was also present that evening and was likewise honoured with the fellowship.
What the fellowship recognises
The Paul Harris Fellow acknowledges individuals who have made significant contributions and supported philanthropic efforts such as immunising children against polio and providing clean water to impoverished areas across the world. It is named after the founder of Rotary International.
Many prominent figures have been named Paul Harris Fellows, including US President Jimmy Carter and Jonas Salk, the developer of the polio vaccine.
